Emergancy 911!!

We have just experienced one of the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life. On the 23 of July me and the boys we had just returned from AF from getting a few clothes and supplies to bring back to the trailer to stay for the 24th weekend. I had put a crock pot of ribs to cook on the counter. The boys and I went in the trailer to start putting things away and to cook dinner when I heard Cash start screaming. He had pulled the whole crock pot down on himself by tugging at the cord the plugs underneath the cabinent (the only plug). He had pulled the cord so hard that it pulled the crock pot on the floor and splattered BBQ sauce all over him. I immediately put him in cold water and called for Bryan..He came in and we put him the shower running cold water on him. We made a dash for the ER in Gunnison and there was a parade going on in the middle of the road. Bryan did a little fourwheelin in the Tahoe and got us there. There were immediate blisters forming on his face and body. We had be transported by ambulance to the Uof U. I rode with him and Bryan followed with Porter. I was so scared and felt so helpless. when we got the the ICU burn unit they told me to leave and the scraped all of the skin and drugged him up. I never left his side and we spent 2 nights there. (thanks April and the Draneys for taking Porter. He was diagnosed with 2nd degree burns which was a relief because he didnt have to have surgery and would have to start the recovery process. (so thankful i turned the off when i did or would have been worse) He is doing very well considering the looks of his face. He was burned on his face, right shoulder, chest a little and leg and groin area.
I am lost for word when it comes to expressing my feelings. Having kids bring some hard times especially when they get hurt. I cant believe how hard this has been and probably will continue to be with taking care of his wounds. I just cant wait until he get back to his self that i really miss right now. I will never complain about how hard it is to chase him around because right now I wish I was. I love my boys so much and I am just so upset that one of them had to get hurt.
We came home today and he is doing great. He was so excited to be with his dad and play with his toys.Bryan had been going back and forth taking care of Porter so he wasnt able to be there the entire time. the burns are supposed to totally disappear in time and we pray for no scaring. Thank you everyone for your support and keep us in your prayers.
Headsup...always be careful with your little ones and burns.. Many of the kids there were from campfires and spilling hot thing on them, and fireworks. It is a sad place and I would hate to ever have anyone experiance what i did.

Oh my heavens, this breaks my heart! I am so sorry that happened to your family. I seriously wanted to cry when I saw the pictures of your poor baby. I will keep him in my prayers and hope for a speedy recovery. Nothing hurts a parent more than an injury to their child.

I am so so sorry Crystal the second doug told me I got all the kids in the car so when he was done with his meeting we could run up and grab Porter. But when we got to the U Bryan said he had just left to take Porter to April. But we would havew been more then happy to help you in your time of need. I will pray for your little guy. He is so sweet and I am so sad that you guys had to go through it. Hopefully this will be the worst thing you'll ever have to deal with, with your boys. It seems like they can get hurt so badly in just a few seconds. We love you guys! Good Luck
