around here is to grow a garden. I was really excited to have one this year because I love all the veggies that come out of it. We started about 3 weeks later than most but I am proud to say that IT GREW. I cant believe that it really grew and it starting to make food. Its so crazy that all you need is a little water and seeds and this sucker will grow.
Anyways, I have zucchini growing like crazy and yesterday I made my first zucchini bread ever and it was actually really good. I have really enjoyed learning how to be a home maker and take advantage of the little things god has created for us. My next goal is to learn to bottle....and what to bottle is the question???????
A few pics of my garden. I planted in the backyard along the fence line.

Impressive, I too planted my first garden this year (if you could call it a garden)I was glad to just have one thing grow, my kids would have been so devastated if we killed all the plants. We only planted peas and carrots, maybe next year I should get some gardening tips from you!!
Bottle your tomatos! They are so yummy. I couldn't believe how much better they were than the canned ones at the store. Other than that, I bottle peaches and pears & I'm guessing they aren't one of the many things growing in your garden :)
Im glad you are enjoying the Fruits of your labor:) I hope you will be bringing some of that delicous zuccini camping:)
Wow!! I haven't got'in that ambitious yet. Maybe next year.
I have to say though, I love my grandpas canned beans! Oh, and he has the best corn too.
Looks great!
That is a HUGE garden!!! I'm impressed!!! Keep an eye on those zuchinni -- they are like rabbits....multiplying by the minute!
Hey Crystal, this is awesome. Isn't it fun? It amazes me, too, to see what one seed can do. You know what comes after a garden, don't you? Bee keeping and chickens... fresh honey and eggs! Nate's started that this year. I'm not sure i could fit those on my "gigantic" .13 of an acre, but it sounds like you have the room! just a thought... something fun to blog about, anyway! ;)
pick your zuccini early about 6 inches, there more tender. Love all the new pics, Porter and cash look so happy and handsome. Tell Bryan Happy Birthday from all of us. Bill, Sharon, James, Buck and Amber.
Wow look at that garden!!! I love fresh veggies
